Construction Update: Archway Commons II Affordable Housing Community in Modesto, CA

Archway Commons II Affordable Housing community in Modesto, California is nearing completion!

The Huff Team, led by Project Manager Larry Nelson and Superintendent Will Huff, has been working diligently to complete this project and we are excited to showcase their progress over the last year.

Archway Commons II is built from the ground up and consists of 74 new 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom affordable rental apartments within nine two-story buildings located on 3.17 acres. We built and completed the first phase of construction for Archway Commons in 2014 for our great repeat client EAH Housing.

Construction completion: The Retreat Apartments Merced, CA

Construction is complete for The Retreat Apartments in Merced!

The Retreat Apartments project consisted of the new construction of a 119-unit affordable housing apartment complex on 4.98 acres.

There are five wood-framed, 3-story buildings that encompass 117,224 square feet. Features of the community include a resort-style pool, resident lounge, fitness center, playground, pet area/dog park, community garden, and photovoltaic solar canopies.

Huff Team Construction Update: Turlock Self Storage

The Huff Team and our Client for the Turlock Self Storage project completed an owner-punch-walk to ensure the quality of our team’s work.

At Huff Construction, we stay true to our founding values of commitment to quality and hard work, and as expected, we got a thumbs up! Huff Metal Buildings Construction Completion: Beeler Industries Warehouse

The Huff Team completed construction for the new 20,938 square foot pre-manufactured Huff Metal Building.

BEELER INDUSTRIES, INC. is utilizing this facility as an office and warehouse space. The office encompasses 7,134 square feet across its two floors. Floor-to-ceiling storefront windows are installed at the front of the building allowing natural light to illuminate the open office space.

The warehouse portion features eight overhead doors which allow for flexible storage options.

The Village at Gray’s Crossing: Tahoe Fund

Huff Construction, alongside our business partners Verakin Capital and the Abbate Family, is proud to continue our support of the Tahoe Fund in its efforts to preserve and improve the Lake Tahoe environment for all to enjoy.

We welcomed the Tahoe Fund to our booth space at this year’s Truckee Thursdays events where they raised over $5000 in donations from the public in addition to this $5000 check presented by the Village at Gray’s Crossing.

The goal of the Tahoe Fund is to become a major source of private funding for environmental projects around the Lake Tahoe Basin with an emphasis on forest health, lake clarity, sustainable recreation, transportation, and stewardship.

Featured Huff Project: Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites Dual-Branded Hotel

This 166,340 square foot dual-branded hotel was built from the ground up and completed in 2019.

Some features include 261 rooms, an outdoor pool & spa, a fitness center, a conference space, an outdoor sports court, and a putting green.

This project achieved LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED certification provides third-party verification that a building was designed and built using strategies to improve performance across metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

Watch: RedRose Montessori Preschool in Mountain House, CA

Check out this video of our recently completed project: TheRedRose Montessori Preschool in Mountain House, CA, which was built from the ground up in about 11 months.

This project included the ground-up construction of a 12,560 square-foot preschool on a 3-acre parcel. Features of the RedRose Montessori Preschool include 11 classrooms, office spaces, a teacher’s lounge, and a full-service commercial kitchen. In addition, there is a 9,797 square-foot play area with artificial turf and a low-impact surface.
