Project Description

Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch is a new GreenPoint-Gold certified, 19,909 square foot, 31-unit affordable housing community on a 1.64-acre site for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Along with the living space at Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch, the residents of this community will also enjoy a bocce ball court, a sports court, and a multi-purpose community space for dining and such activities as movie nights, dances, and family gatherings. Other amenities include a makers space, fitness room, and a commercial kitchen. This affordable housing community was built in about 15 months and was kept on schedule even throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our construction team at Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch effectively maintained a safe work environment by practicing the recommended procedures and guidelines from the CDC and Alameda County.

The pre-construction for Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch required close communication between SAHA and the Alameda County Housing & Community Development Advisory Board to meet all local hiring requirements and goals. Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch is Pleasanton’s first residential community for adults with developmental disabilities.
